Getting Started with WSOB: A 5-Minute Walkthrough
Welcome to WSOB
WSOB (Wall Street Option Bets) is an algorithmic stock scoring platform that ranks 3,600+ stocks daily. Instead of manually scanning charts and reading news, you get a single score for each stock that tells you where momentum stands.
This guide walks you through the core features in 5 minutes.
Step 1: The Leaderboard
The Leaderboard is the heart of WSOB. It ranks stocks by their algorithmic score from +10 (most bullish) to -10 (most bearish).
What you'll see:
- Score — The stock's current algorithmic score
- Regime — Whether the stock is in a bullish, bearish, or range state
- Alignment — How many scoring components agree on direction (out of 4)
- Price and change — Current market data
How to use it:
- Look at the top of the leaderboard for bullish opportunities
- Look at the bottom for bearish setups
- Filter by regime to focus on confirmed trends
Step 2: Stock Detail Pages
Click any stock on the Leaderboard to see its detail page. Here you'll find:
Score History Chart
The most powerful feature. It shows how the stock's score has changed over time. Look for:
- Upward trends (momentum building)
- Pullbacks within trends (entry opportunities)
- Score rollovers (exit signals)
Regime and Alignment
See the stock's current classification and component breakdown. A stock in bullish regime with 4/4 alignment is the strongest possible signal.
Price Chart
Standard price data for context alongside the scores.
Step 3: Watchlist
Add stocks you're interested in to your Watchlist for quick monitoring. The Watchlist shows:
- All your saved stocks with current scores and regimes
- Score changes so you can spot momentum shifts
- Alert status if you've set score-based alerts
Pro tip: Build a watchlist of 5-10 high-scoring stocks and check it daily for entry opportunities.
Step 4: Paper Trading
Not ready to risk real money? Use Paper Trading to simulate trades:
- Go to any stock's detail page
- Open a paper trade (long or short)
- Set a profit target and stop-loss
- Track your simulated P&L on the Paper Trades page
This is the best way to validate whether the scores work for your trading style before going live.
Step 5: Daily Picks (Gold)
If you're on the Gold plan, Daily Picks surfaces the most actionable setups each day:
- Strong Trends — Stocks scoring +8.5 or higher with full alignment
- Early Momentum — Stocks where scores are rapidly improving
- Pullback Entry — Recently strong stocks that have pulled back while the broader trend holds
Step 6: Market Pulse (Pro+)
Market Pulse gives you the big picture:
- Regime Distribution — How many stocks are bullish, bearish, or range (and how that's changing)
- Top Score Movers — Stocks with the biggest score changes this week
- Sector Rotation — Which sectors are strengthening or weakening
What to Do First
- Visit the Leaderboard and browse the top-scoring stocks
- Click into 2-3 stocks and examine their Score History charts
